Mt Buller experience was wonderful! Great snow falls this season.
Aaron and I went to there on Thursday by tour. Even tough we did ski (like most other people did), we still had lots and lots of fun tobogganing and sightseeing on the hill top.
The weather was bad. It was so freaking cold and windy in Mt Buller about 1 Celsius. On top of that, it rained in afternoon and my whole jacket and pant were soaking wet. Even my whole shoes and socks too. Sob sob, I really had a hard time cleaning them both when I was back home. However apart from that bad weather, I got to experience snow falls! Yeah! It was my first time seeing snow falling down from the sky =) I can say that it was definitely a magical moment.
We sat the first buller point ski lift to reach to the summit. It was certainly cool sitting on a hanging chair where when you looked down you can see lots of people skiing or even snowboarding. Next we sat the second buller point ski lift. This was the time where it started to get freaking cold. While Aaron and I were sitting on the chair, we could feel the strong wind hitting our face. It was like pins and needles. I could not even feel my hands too. Frozen I guess. To make matter worse, the lift chair suddenly stopped moving and we were stranded hanging on the top for quite a few minutes. I was like what the f***. It was so cold and the wind was gushing like crazy plus it was raining too. I wonder how the climbers survive such a harsh weather in Mt Everest. Really salute them.
We did not move much further to the summit since the weather was crazy but instead went down to have hot tea and chips. After lunch, we played toboggan and made snowman. It was so fun. By the end of the day, I was definitely a tried but very happy girl. Hehe… enough of my ramblings. Let the pictures and video do all the talking =)

It's getting colder and colder in Melbourne with the cold rain and strong wind. Winter is the time where thick jacket, beanie, scarf, and boots dominates the fashion industry. However one thing that you should not miss doing during the cold winter is drinking hot chocolate with marshmallow. Imagine how you dip your marshmallow in your hot choc and have a taste of sweetness when it melts in your mouth. Yum! Yum! Ever wonder how they produce marshmallow in the factory? Check this out. Finally I found Mid Valley in Australia. Yeah! Chadstone Shopping Mall a real shopping heaven for a girl like me =) Seriously you can shop till you dropped. Thanks to Kai promoting Chadstone in his blog. I always wonder is Australia really that bad? Do they have big shopping mall like Malaysia? And yes they do! Chadstone is like Mid Valley except it is really far away from city and it closes at 5pm!! Errr! Malaysia’s night life is still the best with 24/7 mamak and late night shopping. I miss home!

Aaron and I began our journey by taking tram, then train and finally bus. Far right? Chadstone is situated in zone 2 and it took us about 1.5 hours to get there. We nearly took the wrong bus heading to Box Hill instead of Chadstone because of my stupidity =P I insisted that this bus was the right one but instead it was going the opposite way. Hehe..I guess, Aaron you are always right.
We had our lunch in Chili Mama. It was ok. The food was like mamak version in Malaysia. After lunch, we had only 4 hours to explore the whole shopping mall. Definitely not enough time for me. Haha…Aaron told me that it was more than enough time and my legs will definitely ace after shopping. Boy, he was right again =P Chadstone has big stores like Myer (similar to Parkson), David Jones (similar to Metrojaya), Kmart, Target (similar to JJ), Hoyts (similar to GSC) and even Toys R Us too!
Bye-bye. It's closing time!
Everywhere is having sale! And of course I bought something or else so wasted. Go all the way to Chadstone without buying anything. I bought a black, cardigan, Roxy purse and Elmo pajamas. Even Aaron bought a pair of jeans too! Hehe…I’m so happy with my purchase.
Sad to say, we had to leave Chadstone at 5pm. All the shops were shutting their doors at 5pm sharp and people started to leave the mall too. My first time experiencing that! Never in my life had I stayed in the shopping mall until it closes its doors.
Lastly we headed back to city and the sky was pitching black even though it was still 5 in the evening. Tomorrow, I will be working again =( What a start for the week!

The story began....I’m definitely one big happy girl now because my EXAMS are over! Hip Hip Horey! Sat for my last paper yesterday (Err let’s not talk about the part on how bad I screwed that paper). On the brighter side, I finished my semester 1, second year. Wow, I just could not believe it. I’m already half way through my accounting degree. Finger cross. I’m hoping to do extra 1 more years for honours.
Right after Exams:
I went SHOPPING at Melbourne Central! I love winter coz everywhere in the city is having their year end financial sale. Lots of huge savings during this period =) Bought this cute bag- $ 20. It’s on discount. Hehe I really love it. Besides that, this is the best time because my uni bag tore quite a bit already. Yeah! A great deal. Went to Diva too and bought a few accessories as a birthday prezzie for my cousin.

Next stop was jalan-jalan cari makan. Aaron and I had our dinner at Wagamama. A Japanese restaurant. I think the food was ok only and seriously damn expensive. My wagamama ramen was $16.50 while Aaron had some kind of coconut soup base which was about $18.50. Ito in Brouke Street is so much nicer and way cheaper. Then we had dessert in Max Brenner. Yummy! I love strawberries with chocolate fondue. Mmmm…I could feel the yummy milk choc tantalizing my taste buds. How good is that!

- After dessert, we went to watch Fantastic 4 in Hoyts. It was really a great movie! I enjoyed it very much. As good as Spidey. The jokes were great and funny too. But Jessica Alba looked a bit weird with her blonde hair and tanned skin. She looked better in brunette or black. I always like Johnny. Hehe..he is hot, cool and I love his flying fire power. I’m not going to spoil the movie for those who haven’t watched it. Just take note that Dr Doom is back, yup not dead and Sliver Surfer came! The effect is fantastic. See what happened to London! 8.5/10 for Fantastic 4.

I don't mind sitting for Financial Accounting exam again but not Management Accounting!
Both subjects sound the same but they are two different end of the world.
I wonder how am I going to sit for my paper?

Melbourne Wrapped into a Cotton Candy
Friday: A mysterious fog hit Melbourne and wrapped the whole city into a cotton candy. According to the meteorology department, in the afternoon the weather in Melbourne city was as low as eight Celsius. Some domestic and international flights in the Tullamarine Airport were delayed or cancelled because of the bad weather condition. Furthermore, road users were advised to be careful while driving. This foggy condition can be said to be similar with the weather in Genting Highlands, Malaysia. However it was even worst. Visibility was within 500 meters only. What a start for beginning of the winter! In a nutshell, it was best advised to spend your day at home, sitting by your fire place (aka heater) and enjoyed your hot chocolate with marshmallows while listening to Christina Aguilera’s Candyman =)

Back home in Malaysia, I had mummy to cook for me everyday. I miss all those yummy Chinese cuisine. But now I’m in Melbourne, miles away from home. This is the place where I started learning and finally found my hidden ability to cook. Cooking is really fun. It’s all about mix and match to create your own food. Just like fashion. You mix match your clothing. Even though, at times, my outcome is unsuccessful, I definitely improve the next time.
Hehe….I think you can consider me as a good cook now. I had tried all the recipes that mummy gave me and now I’m exploring new recipes from the food blog. Check out my secret recipes link. Besides that, Aaron is a very good cook too. I love his pasta, chicken boiled with chinese herbs, fried rice, steamed fish and the list goes on and on. We always take turn cooking for lunch and dinner. Boy, I’m indeed such a lucky girl to get a boyfriend who can cook for me :)
By the way, of course I’m better than Aaron. Don’t you agree with me?

Yeah…I just finished my third paper, Intermediate Financial Accounting!
Felt really good about it. Haha practically the best paper I did so far compared to the rest. Hopefully I can get H1. Pray, Pray!
But now I’m stuck with my last paper. It’s on the second last day of exam period, 21st June. Sob! Sob! So late! 80% of the Melbourne uni students finished their exams already at that time.
Sigh! Right now I’m so jealous with my medical friends especially my boyfriend.
He had finished his exams yesterday.
Now, enjoying his time playing dota >.<

Moreover, my mood is more dampening because I’m so not prepared for Cost Management.
That is my worst subject and I’m scared that I will screw it up.
Besides that my assessment mark is so crapy and right now my motivation level to study dropped tremendously with the influence from people who had finished their exams and mega sales in the city.
Shir Li, you must concentrate! I don’t want to get a P grade.
Hopefully I’m all set and ready to sit for that paper after 7 days of studying and studying and studying.

Half of my day was gone. Aaron and I went grocery shopping today. Seriously we were running out of food especially during exam period. Sad to say, we had been eating canned food for the past few days. I know that Mummy always remind me to eat nutritious food during exams but I’m just simply too lazy to cook. Wish that Mummy is here to cook for me :P
We were all stocked with food supplies again. Yeah! Seriously canned food taste yucky. We went to so many places in a few hours- Victoria Market, Aldi, Big W, Safeway and Laguna. Besides that, I could not believe that I spent so much today. About $120!! This is bad. Not even half of the month yet Not because I went shopping for clothes but all spent on food, toiletries, and stationary supplies and of course father’s day present. Gee…such small little items could take up a lot in my bills.
Mei Mei, if you are reading this, just keeps quite. Don’t tell papa that I bought him 2 Aussie T-shirt that he always wanted for father’s day. Hehe.. just let him wait for the mail.

Muahaha!!!…I’m laughing, not because I did well for my Business Finance and Organisational Behaviour papers but I’m finally, totally and completely done with these subjects. Definitely a big farewell to OB (p/s: I chucking you out of my brain =P ) I really hated it. I wonder why Melbourne Uni makes it a compulsory subject for all commerce students.
Business Finance was ok. As usual some questions I did not know how to do especially APT and some of the mcqs I was not sure too. This paper was made in such a way that it is difficult to score marks. Why make our life so difficult? There were lot of theory essay questions and less calculation. I was hoping for more calculation indeed.
OB was ok too. Practically I did not have much time. I was writing for the whole 2 hours straight. My handwriting was horrible and there was lots of spelling mistake all over the paper. I think I screwed up a bit on the team question. I had not much stuff to write. However, I’m glad that I’m done with OB. I won’t ever again take another management subject!
Now it’s time to concentrate on my Intermediate Financial Accounting (my best subject) and Cost Management (my worst subject). What an irony!

Sighz....I am potentially not going to get H1 or H2A for my Cost Management. My internal mark is crap. I could not believe it- 25/40. It's so super low. But what to do? I always did badly for my team assignment. Now, I have to study even harder for it.
